Rural Enterprise Incubator
Partnering with 8 community enterprises in the Amazon and the Andes:
Aliados has launched a rural business incubator that brings together biodiversity-based enterprises into a long-term, structured incubation program. The incubator builds capacity, leadership, access, and partnerships as a pathway for indigenous economic self-determination and long-term local stewardship of Ecuador’s tropical ecosystems.
What We’ve Accomplished So Far:
Two community enterprise cohorts selected for the Andes and Amazon regions
Minimum viable product R&D program, business plan development and annual incubation work plans created with Andes and Amazon cohorts
Indigenous entrepreneurial leadership program underway.
Over $50,000 invested in early-stage farm-enterprise innovations.
